Review
Juno is the name of a 16 year old girl that is dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. After an abortion protester classmate of hers tells her that her baby already has fingernails, she decides she can’t terminate her pregnancy. She places an ad on a local newspaper and that’s how she meets the Lorings, a rich couple interested in adopting her baby.
It may not seem like it, but this film is, in fact, a comedy. It is filled with smart and witty dialogue lines, mostly out of the mouth of Juno herself. The cast, lead by Ellen Page as Juno, does justice to a well rounded, although a bit far fetched and unrealistic, script. Juno is a decent comedy with an array of interesting and funny characters. One may wonder how a smart girl like Juno got herself pregnant in the first place, but if you can avoid asking yourself these kind of questions you may find the film quite enjoyable.
