Review
Angels In The Dust documents the work of Marion Cloete, a South African woman who left her middle class life in Johannesburg behind and moved with her husband and daughters to a remote village where she set up an orphanage for AIDS orphans. The orphanage is now a home to over 500 orphans and it gives them a safe shelter, food, medication and schooling.
While the work of the Cloete family is inspiring, the film itself does not have a well defined structure, it mostly follows Ms. Cloete as she goes about the orphanage and nearby villages on her daily activities. Nonetheless, this documentary will be an eye opener for those who think AIDS is a thing of the past. Africa struggles with millions of orphaned children that lost their parents to AIDS, many of them also sick with the disease.
